Scooby

We adopted Scooby a few days before Christmas 2010. Scooby is crazy about the ocean, is happiest when charging after his rubber bone in the park and is very protective of his big (shorter) brother, Harry, formerly known as O'Hara. They got along instantly and together they form a great comedy duo. Although he took a while to relax, Scooby is like a teddy bear at home and we adore him. Harry is the cheeky one, loves his baby brother and chomps on his back legs when he wants him to play. He's also the favourite in our local park. Scooby's always curled up in bed by 9pm whilst Harry prefers to watch TV til midnight in his tub chair. They hate being apart and if we ever try to walk them separately, Scooby sits down and won't move. They are so much fun we can't remember what life was like before they joined us! Vicky and Anthony :-)

Levi now Bear
We just thought we would send you some photo's we have of Levi - or "Bear" as we now call him (he's a huge teddy bear so we thought it suited him). He's settling well into his new home and seems to be getting on well with his new sister, although he has nearly sat on her quite a few times but she soon tells him who's boss :-) Bear certainly enjoys sleeping in front of the fire on his new bed and sleeps in our room at night. He's been a good boy and sleeps all night long....although, that boy can snore!!! He enjoys his walks but isn't so keen when it means he has to leave his bed in the morning - I can't blame him with that one though at the moment. He loves a good cuddle and we've also found out, to Sean's delight, that he enjoys a good wrestle too. Both me and Sean would like to thank everyone for looking after Levi "Bear" as he really is a gorgeous boy with a beautiful big heart. We'll definitely keep you up to date with his adventures and send through photos so you can see what he's been up to.
Thanks Jane & Sean

Bazil
Heres Bazil and his new sister Molly- we were so amazed at how well they got along- and even when we got home- after a good half hour wrestle (all friendly no growls) they were relaxed and didn’t mind each other at all- Thank you again for all your help and the amazing work you and all the vollys do down there.

Bazil is a quick learner and we got him a city farmers bed which he now loves (even more than our bed !) he can also use the doggy door very well!
Definitely will send a contact letter in a few months to let you know how it is all going.
Best regards
, Sevrin Clements

Pippa
A couple of photo's to let you all a K9 know that Pipa has settled in well with her new family also I believe the X part of Pipa is mostly Jack Russell from my observations of her only the Head is a Chihuahua ah ah. Thankyou to all you wonderfull people at the K9 organization.
Kind regards Terence Connolly and family

Smudge
Just a short note to let you know how Smudge is going so far. He was so good on the long drive down to Margaret River. Sleeping most of the way. Not a word out of him. We arrived home in the dark so he was not sure what was going on. But after a feed and good look around the yard, he settled down in his new warm bed. We have only heard him give a short deep bark once.
We have found out he is very smart. Can open the sliding door with his nose! You only have to show him something or tell him once and he remembers.
He so loves his daily walks and has not been a problem with other dogs. Kristy has had him out running with her on the lead with no hassles.
He sits and stays on command. Will fetch a ball and bring it back.
Smudge is so good with Cooper our 3.5year old grandson. To our dismay Cooper sat on him (in a gentle way) but Smudge just laid there! How good is that. Cooper is learning very fast the does and don’ts regarding dogs. Lovely to see Smudge sitting with Cooper playing in the sand pit. Will be mates for years to come.
Also he is the biggest baby……..loves cuddles.
We love him so much and would like to say a HUGE big “THANK YOU” for rescuing him and letting us take him home.
Kind regards, Glenys

Vinny now Grimes

My name is Dejana and my Partner Joshua and I would just like to let you know that our Dog has settled in and we wouldn't trade him for anything!
We adopted him on April 1st this year (roughly six months ago) and it feels like we have had him for years!
He was then a Rottweiler X named Vinnie, now named Grimes.
He is a wonderful dog, does everything a dog is supposed to do: Dig holes, drink out of the toilet, leave slobbery toys all over the house, muddy paw prints on the tiles, slobber marks on the car window...  But these are the things we love that he does, he basically fits the general description of a dog!! He makes us smile and laugh, he always wants to play and cuddle, he protects me well and scares off any potential intruders.
He hardly ever barks, we will hear him and be surprised, it is not a noise we hear often. He gets overloaded with treats, love, affection and we make sure to give him the best premium pet food we can find. He even has his own mattress!
He is a very talented spooner as well, he loves to snuggle up and fall asleep in your arms with his head on your pillow.
Couldn't have asked for a better dog, and recommending everyone we know to adopt a dog, especially from K9!

Jet
We adopted jet just over a week ago now and wanted to let you know how he is going. He made himself at home from the moment he got through the door.  He is doing really well and gets on great with our 2 four year olds and he enjoys his walks and all the attention he gets.  He is a beautiful gentle loving dog and has made himself a permanent member of our family.

kind regards
the Haley family

Scooby
Hi there. We adopted Scooby a few months ago and am just wondering if he was at K9 through being abandoned. We are curious as we are moving house and he is getting more distressed with every load of gear we leave the house with. He chewed through the bathroom flyscreen this morning trying to find us then got out under a gate he has never even attempted before. At the moment he won't let me out if his sight and sits on my feet at every opportunity. Little Scooby is doing well and as a great little man. Spoilt rotten, he has his little doggy bed in our bedroom and his chair in the lounge. He loves visits with his cousin in Busselton. He's a great companion. Cheers Vicki and Bruce
