BEAU
Staffy
X-Male-dob-Feb 2010
Large Size
Beau is very protective of his kennel when greeted by strangers, but
take the time to meet him out of his kennel and he a very good
nature and loveable dog.Whoever takes Beau home should know he will
be very protective of his new family inside there home and yard and
should be introduced to strangers on leash outside the house and it
is best if you let him sniff people before they try to pat him. Our
trainer has socialized Beau in town, he has walked through the
children’s playground and has been over to the skate park and walked
among both small children and teenagers while on leash and behaved
perfectly.If
introduced properly Beau is ok with other dogs. However he would
benefit from some basic obedience training, and of course never
leave children unattended with any dog.

BEANIE
Mixed Breed-Male-DOB-June 2010
Medium/Large
Beanie is a happy and friendly natured boy looking for a warm loving
place to call home. As part of Beanies training here at K9 he has
been taking regular trips into town and is being socialized with lots of
other dogs. He gets on great with most other dogs his size and with the
same type energy levels. Beanie is currently learning sit, stay and
come. He is very food orientated which makes him easier to train. He
always sits for his meals on a night and settles well when put to bed.
Beanie is also very happy to see you in the morning. He likes a game of
tug-o-war also and to chase the ball. He is looking for an active family
to be part of. Beanie loves to go jogging and for a run along side the
push bike. Beanie is very alert and interested in everything going on
around him. He will let you know if anyone is lurking around your home.
Given some time to settle into your home and regular training Beanie
will make a great mate, companion or even family pet. Our trainer is
also prepared to do a follow up visit with training in your home if you
like.

MISCHIEF Rottweiler x – Female – DOB: March 2008
Medium Size
Mischief is full of life and ready to move into a loving, active home at
anytime. She’s very alert and tends to let you know when there are
visitors approaching. Mischief loves to play but be mindful that she
doesn’t get too boisterous during games. She’s also very fond of a few
rounds of tug of war and, being the cheeky girl she is, enjoys playing
chasey to make you run around after her. Like all rescue dogs, Mischief
will require training to ensure she maintains good manners both in the
home and on the lead when out on the town. She has been pen mates with
Jeff for a while now and enjoys bossing him around. Call us on 9581 9005

DOC English white pointer x -Male DOB June 2009
Large Size
Doc already has some manners and will sit for his meals and treats. Doc
enjoys wearing pajamas on a cold night and a raincoat out on walks in
the rain. Doc also loves his squeaky toys and is often heard playing
with them, he also enjoys playing fetch but will give you the run around
when it comes to returning the ball.
Our dog trainer is currently working with Doc to set him up as a well
behaved boy for a new home.
Below, a special write up for guidance:
Ask Doc to sit before being invited into car the same as getting out
of the car. Take Doc for a long walk on leash at heel before entering
the house then have Doc sit at the front door and when he’s calm, invite
him in while still on the leash. Limiting his access in the house
initially will help avoid territorial marking. When feeding Doc, make
him sit and wait for his meals, dogs should always be fed after people.
Make Doc work for all of his treats. All we are doing here is
establishing good leadership skills, the more rules, boundaries and
limitations we give a dominant dog the more balanced it will become. All
people living in the house must stick to the program and have to be fair
and consistent at all times. Of course, when Doc’s mind is calm we
reward this with attention and treats and this will help to build trust
and most importantly to help the people of the household remain the pack
leaders. It is recommended to walk Doc every morning to create the bond
that keeps the new owner as the boss.

BAZ Staffy X –Male – DOB – Jan 2010
Medium Size – 25kgs
Baz is a big smoocher. Though he may not blend well with other dogs (in
particular, other males), Baz loves the company of any person willing to
give him the time. For this reason, Baz doesn't appreciate being left
alone for long periods of time and he can get vocal about it. He would
really benefit from being in a home where he could be allowed inside the
house and feeling apart of the family. Baz is definitely a water dog, he
splashes around in his clam shell swimming pool in summer and would love
to go to a home where he would be taken to the beach. Careful of the
kind of toys you give Baz, cheap plastic toys with a squeaker won't last
long so invest in some heavier duty toys that he can enjoy without you
having to pick up the pieces later. Baz is also very clever, having
taught himself how to open doors, so anyone interested in taking him
home must be willing to continue training and make use of his smarts.
If you like the sound of a dog with a ton of character, then pop down to
the kennels and meet Baz.
