Lawson' s Diary

HI. The caretakers really can not understand why I am still here at K9 so they have decided to let me spend a week with them and keep a diary.

TUESDAY: Today was cold & wet. I was so happy to see Ginny come down to the kennels with my special collar and lead. She took me up to the house to see my mate Nunya and told me that I had a new friend for me to meet named Boss. Nunya & boss made me feel so welcome and Ginny told me that I was allowed to stay with them at the house for a while. We all took a trip in the car to pick Jazz up from school. I enjoyed sitting in the car looking happily out the window.

WEDNESDAY:  What a lovely warm comfy sleep I had last night. Ginny and Jamie were happy to see that I am house trained and didn’t chew anything up over night. Today I spent most of the day at home in the house with the two dogs while Ginny went over to K9 to do some work. I was very well behaved and didn’t chew anything up unlike Boss who got hold of the tv remote and destroyed it, Ginny was not happy. After Ginny finished what she was doing at k9 she did a little training with all of us. Sit, Stay and walking at Heel. After this we all played around outside for a while. I was chasing flies at one time there. Once again after dinner I had my P.J’s put on for bed. I spent the evening laying around with the other dogs or on my bed or cuddling up with the family again before going to sleep. I’m enjoying every minute of this, its lovely to be settled and feel warm and welcome in a home. Ginny wishes that I would ease up on the kissing, she says I give to many, as if you can ever have to many kisses.

THURSDAY: Another warm comfy night’s sleep. Once again I didn’t disgrace myself and the house was in one piece and clean when the caretakers awoke.  It’s another wet cold and windy day I’m so thankful for being in a nice warm heated home. Ginny is working at k9 again today so most of my day will be spent inside with Nunya and Boss again. Ginny has popped home a few times to let us all outside and check that Boss is behaving himself today.  After Ginny finished at k9 she did a little more training with us before letting us all have a good run. Later on when Jamie came home we all went for a big walk. Once again I had my dinner was made to sit and stay until told ok. I then had my P.J’s put on and was happy to lay around again. We all had a treat tonight after dinner, Nunya and Boss had Pigs Ears and I had a Lucky Dog Meaty Chew as I didn’t like the pigs ear. I’ve settled right into this place, it’s a shame I cant stay here, Ginny tells me that someone will be coming for me soon. I deserve a home where I will be made part the family she really believes that I will make a great mate and companion for someone. I hope she is right and I get to go to a new home soon.

FRIDAY: Another great nights sleep in a lovely warm home. Once again the house was clean when the caretakers woke up. Ginny left the door open for us dogs to go in and out as we pleased. Boss got me into trouble as he enticed me into a game of tug-o-war with one of Ginny's cushions. I might add that it is no good as a cushion any more. Later Ginny took me for more lead training. I walked at heel most of the way for her. then in the afternoon Ginny took me Nunya & Boss to the river for a swim and play. Nunya went straight into the water and boss followed and after a toy was thrown in a few more times, I joined in too. (I was on a long lead while Boss & Nunya were off the leads) boss started getting a bit silly so we hopped back into the car and came home. the rest of the day was spent coming and going as Ginny left the door open for us again. Once again I was seen chasing flies for a while. I had my dinner and was told to sit and wait until told ok before eating. We then had our PJ's put on and we all snuggled up with my dog family again before settling down to sleep.

SUNDAY The caretakers didn’t return until late today. They took me up home for a while to have a play with their dogs. I laid around for a while before being given my dinner which once again I was made to sit and wait for, until told ok. Watched some tellie with the family before settling down to sleep.

MONDAY: I’m a good boy once again the house is all clean and in one piece when the caretakers awoke.  Ginny and Jamie took me back to the kennel to see my mate Eliza, as they both had some work to do. I’ve been telling her all about my adventures with the caretakers I think she is happy for me. After Ginny and that where settled home again for the day Ginny came and got me for a while only to play today she said no training or camping tonight she told me. I had a good run and play with the dogs in the exercise pen for a hour or so before going back to my pen for the evening.

TUESDAY: Ginny came and took me today from the exercise pen where I had been playing with my pen pal Eliza. I was very happy to see her infact I got told off for jumping all over her. She made me sit and stay before leaving the pen, told me I was to walks at heel and that  we were going to see her dogs again for the day.  She continued my walk down the street and I behaved myself and walked at heel once again. We then went back to the house to see my mates Nunya and Boss. I had a good play with them and once again I was seen chasing flies. Ginny doesn’t mind this to much because when she calls. me I still come straight to her. Later on us dogs went down to the exercise pen again for a good run, we stayed and played down there for a good hour by ourselves and wore ourselves out. Back up the house we all chilled infact we didn’t move for sometime. Dinner was the same as always, sit, stay and wait till told ok before eating my food, followed by getting my P.J’s on all ready for bed.
