Conditions of Sale for K9 Rescue Group Dogs

The new owner agrees to:

Provide the dog with appropriate food, water, shelter and exercise, and look after it to the best of their ability

Undertake not to allow the dog to be used for any purpose other than as a companion pet, or offer it for resale

Puppies should not be allowed out of home environment until full course of three initial vaccinations are completed

If the dog has not been sterilised whilst at the kennels or due to being under 6 months old, then the new owner agrees to this being done as soon as possible at the owner's choice of practice from the K9 approved veterinary surgery list

All veterinary aftercare instructions must be adhered to and the new owner is fully responsible, with the veterinary practice concerned, to see that this is followed. K9 will not be held responsible for any additional costs incurred as a result of any complications in veterinary procedures during sterilisation or after care

The new owner has been made aware of any ongoing or medical/injury problem that K9 knows that the dog has at the time of rehoming. All K9 dogs are sold with a 2-week from time of sale "health guarantee". If the dog develops any kind of illness that requires veterinary care within the two weeks then K9 MUST be informed BEFORE commencement of any treatment. Only approved veterinary clinics can be used and NO veterinary costs will be covered unless a K9 order number is given to the vterinary clinic concerned. This will only apply to an illness or ailment that the dog could have been in contact with whilst in the kennels. This does not cover injuries or illness sustained with the new owners.

The maximum amount for treatment that K9 will cover is $50. Anything above that will have to be paid by the owner unless authorised by the Management Committee

Provide a letter of consent to have a dog from the landlord if living in rental accommodation.

Full refunds will be given up to 2 weeks, minus an administration charge of $20. Between 2 - 4 weeks a %50 refund less administration charge. After a month no refund will be given and the dog will have to go on a waiting list until there is a space available at the kennels.
